CastWise may collect photos uploaded for AI fishing analysis, waterbody search queries, fishing report requests, approximate or device-based location data when permission is granted, user-created catch logs and map pins, device and app usage information, and other information needed to operate, improve, troubleshoot, and protect the app.
We use collected information to provide AI-powered fishing analysis and recommendations, generate fishing reports and lake intelligence insights, support map and waterbody features, save reports and logs, improve app functionality and performance, troubleshoot technical issues, prevent abuse, and develop future app features.
Photos and related fishing information submitted through CastWise may be processed using third-party AI services to generate fishing insights, likely species identification, casting suggestions, and other recommendations. AI-generated outputs are informational only and may be inaccurate.
If you grant location access, CastWise may use your location to find nearby waterbodies, support map features, generate localized fishing insights, and help save catch logs or reports. You may disable location access at any time through your device settings.
CastWise is designed to prioritize fishing-location privacy. Exact private fishing locations and private map pins are not publicly shared. Future lake-intelligence features may use generalized, anonymized, waterbody-level summaries that do not expose exact user coordinates, user identities, private notes, or personal fishing spots.
Some reports, logs, map pins, settings, and app data may be stored locally on your device for offline access. Certain information may also be stored using cloud infrastructure to support app functionality, backups, analytics, abuse prevention, and lake-intelligence features.
CastWise may use third-party services including cloud hosting providers, mapping providers, weather providers, analytics services, AI providers, and other technical infrastructure. These services may process information necessary to provide app functionality.
CastWise is not directed toward children under 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
